March 31, 2008 easily amused
As I was driving home from work today, I encountered something kinda cute that just amused me to no end. One of the many, many, many Canadian geese that inhabits the river parks and sides of the road by my house was actually using the pedestrian crosswalk to walk across the street. At the end, he turned around and looked at me - maybe he could hear me laughing inside my car. It was really cute though!
What's not cute is the current look of the SF Giants. Sigh. That score against the Dodgers is SO not what we need to start off the season. However, from the Spring Training record, it is not entirely surprising. Double sigh.
I'm still sick, but I did go to work today. Tomorrow is supposed to be a gorgeous sunny day with temps in the 60s, so fingers crossed for clear breathing and perhaps even a run after work!

March 29, 2008 and now the sunshine is mocking me...
Well, the cough remains and I've got a soreness in my chest from said coughing. What a way to spend a weekend. So, I guess it's good that I wasn't able to go to the wedding because that would have been miserable. That said,
Adam & Emily I wish you both a lifetime of happiness with each other. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Now, I am going to try to get myself showered and dressed, so I can at least go out and pick up my dry cleaning. I have errands to run and a house to clean, but right now, just pulling myself out of bed may be all I can handle. Stupid sickness.

March 28, 2008 writing from my sick bed
So, I've been sick for the past three days, every day waking up with new, but different symptoms of this modern-day plague. Today, I have no voice and a dry, but phlegm-y cough. Yeah, that's TMI. Sorry.
Like Katie, I am intrigued by the redesign of the Netflix website. Here are the categories they believe I like:
-TV Sitcoms -Biographies -Romantic Comedies -Romantic Dramas -Comedy
And yeah, that's pretty much me and my movie watching habits right there. I'm happy with that. Besides, Netflix doesn't really have the capability to categorize based on my real criterion lately - "Movies Starring And/Or Featuring Involvement of Office Cast Members." Plus, they left off "Teen Comedies" and "Guilty Pleasures" so I can't be too upset with Netflix.

March 17, 2008 New York City weekend - and I'm not even hungover!
I have had a crazy, amazing, frustrating, tiring weekend with my fabulous cousin Ellen and her BFF Erin. Nothing makes you feel old like hanging out with two teenage girls for three days. Whew! I'm so exhausted and we didn't end up doing half the stuff I thought we might do. Craziness!
Highlights include pedicures at Nails by Deca, getting to see the NYC St. Patrick's Day parade (we were like two people from this crazy person), cute waiters at brunch, and plenty of laughing, inside jokes and photos. More stories, photos, and stuff when I've recovered - probably sometime later this week ;)

March 7, 2008 got away from me
Stupid migraine kept me home sick today, which sucked because there's nothing like feeling like you're going to die going into a weekend. Luckily, it seems like it has left me for the night, so perhaps there's hope of enjoying myself this weekend after all. Of course, now it's pouring outside and we've got a flood watch going, so there's little chance I'll be going out tonight. Sigh.
I guess this week got away from me. Mundane life and little to post about. Work is work and in the interim, I'm knitting, watching television, plotting my eventual escape from Jersey and working out. Nothing sexy or interesting, unfortunately. However, this is my last casual weekend for a while, so I guess it's good to have a bit of a break before I jump back into hostessing and holidays with the fam.
I've been watching the Bourne movies on Netflix and I have to say, I'm kinda glad that I didn't shell out the cash. During both Identity and Supremacy (especially Supremacy), I was bored at times and paused the DVD to get snacks or refill my tea. Probably not the reaction you want during an action/thriller flick. Still Matt Damon does a good job and I'll still have Ultimatum wing its way here next week to finish it up.

March 1, 2008 one day late
I wish I had more awesomeness to report from my Leap Day, but having it at the end of the week, my overall tiredness and the snow forecasted for yesterday evening just deterred me from going out and enjoying. So, instead, after my morning of Leap Day activities, I settled down with a pizza, knitting and a movie from Netflix (The Bourne Identity).
The snow has now melted and you can't even tell it was there, which is great. So, today will be full of errands and tax preparation, while the wind whips outside. Fun stuff!
Friday Fill-It-In:- I'm looking forward to March bringing warmer weather next week.
- I don't handle criticism very well.
- Cheese pizza is something I could eat every day.
- Warmth and sunlight make me happy, so I can't wait to have them back again!
- Costco here I come!
- I have no tattoos. Until they can be licked on by kittens (in the words of Rachel from Friends, no tattoos for me.
It's starting to flurry outside, so I guess I should get myself together and out of the house before I'm marooned in here once again.
