Sometimes the world is a valley of heartaches and tears
And in the hustle and bustle, no sunshine appears
But you and I have our love always there to remind us
There is a way we can leave all the shadows behind us

Volare, oh oh
Cantare, oh oh oh oh
Let's fly way up to the clouds
Away from the madd'ning crowds
We can sing in the glow of a star that I know of
Where lovers enjoy peace of mind
Let us leave the confusion and all this disillusion behind
Just like birds of a feather a rainbow together we'll find

Volare, oh oh
Cantare oh oh oh oh
No wonder my happy heart sings
Your love has given me wings

As you can see, I've finally put my new layout up. It's very wintry, I think, so it should last me until springtime. I took the photo above while in San Francisco over Labor Day weekend.

September 24, 2003 This is it!
Well, today was my last day at HPR. Nathan left me a note on the board in Returns that said, "bye bye Jen, we'll miss you". It was too sweet. I wanted to snap a picture of it, but I didn't get to. There was no pomp and circumstance and I think I liked it better that way. Just drifted out, walking to my car with Rey like any other day, driving away, knowing that I'm not coming back there tomorrow. I got hugs from Luis and Nathan and Rey and Sara and Bridget.

Monty gave me a pat on the back and told me to take care of myself (obviously referencing our previous conversation). He thanked me for my hard work and I thanked him for the opportunity. I said that it was a pleasure to work there and he said that it was the first time anyone had ever said that.

Danielle called to wish me a good last day which was great. I miss talking to her on a regular basis.

I went out shopping today after putting my paycheck in the bank and got a bunch of work clothes for my new job. I'm excited to have a new place to work and I hope I find a family like I did at HPR. While I'm definitely not going to miss Kathy's bullshit, I will miss the love and care I got from my co-workers who became friends in only seven months at HPR.

My numerology is so true today:
The vibrations of the moment will bring some constraints that you will have difficulties escaping from, Jenn! This isn't serious because your faculties for adaptation and your natural good humor will allow you to be on top of events. It's true that you have less punch than during the last few days but you are still in reasonable shape. So, the day may be a little rough but you will find solace in your sentimental life, where you are having success! You have the desire to conquer so this period will be very favorable...

Today is Talk Like A Pirate Day and B1 has been paging everyone overhead with "ARRR!" which totally cracks me up every time.

It was also R's birthday and S1 and I got him balloons and a cake. Then we made him a card when we got to work. I think he enjoyed it...and if not, well, we thought we'd try to make it special cause you only turn 21 once ;)

Yesterday, my work helped the police with a sting operation, so if you live in the LA area, tune to FOX 11 Ten O'Clock news tonight or check your local listings for tonight's episode of Celebrity Justice, airing in LA at 11:30pm.

September 16, 2003 It's done
I quit my job today.

Man, that still sounds good to say. I will now be working at an independent insurance company as their receptionist making the same money I'm making now. I start next Wednesday. I can't wait!

September 12, 2003 Photos from yesterday
Last night, I watched Pentagon Under Fire. It made me cry, but I couldn't stop watching. I saw those trucks and signs and highways that I used to travel all the time.

I've been sick for the past three days with a cold. I still don't feel well, but I shall be heading into work tomorrow. Fun, fun.

My computer has a new hard drive after the old one went bad. Good news is that they were able to salvage everything. Whohoo!

Yeah, that's about it.

Today was such a cleaning frenzy day. It's nice to have the place looking inhabital again. I don't like it messy, but somehow when I come home from work, that's the last thing I want to do.

I got some mail yesterday that I was not expecting and not at all pleased with. The card I sent to HT came back stamped "Moved. Left no address." I haven't heard from him since I sent him a package to take with him to Europe. No postcard from Europe. No e-mail since we saw each other in April. Nothing. Now, he's "moved, left no address." Where the hell did he go? I don't know why, but I'm just extremely upset about this. I've tried IMing him twice this fall as I've seen him online, with no response back at all. What the hell? Sometimes I just don't understand people.
