October 29, 2002 So last Thursday, my PoliSci professor and my class have a huge debate about when our midterm is. She says it's Tuesday (today) and we say it's Thursday. She finally relents to saying it's Thursday, but what are we going to do on Tuesday? Um, review?? She also agrees to have a review on Tuesday, but she says that anyone who doesn't come on Tuesday will fail the exam. Flashforward to today at class time. SHE CANCELLED THE CLASS with a note to "study in groups"!! We schlepped all the way there because she said we would fail if we didn't show up and then she doesn't even show up!! Arggh! ANAHEIM ANGELS WIN THE WORLD SERIES KB and I went down to Anaheim for the game and watched on lawn chairs at Downtown Disney. It was a fabulous game and I couldn't be happier. I can't even begin to describe the energy surrounding all of the fans. Disney shot off confetti canons when Erstad caught the last out and it was like New Year's Eve -- people were hugging and kissing each other and yelling and cheering. Once in the car, people were honking their horns. Fans had come out of their homes and were on the streets cheering as we drove past, honking our horns and cheering with them.
