September 16, 2002 Ballet Update
I had a great class today and I am more sore than I've been in quite some time. Something about the Monday class really fucks with me. Anyway ;)

I learned to do a great many new skills today and I made some excellent progress on my chaine turns and my spotting is getting much better. Not great, but much better. Of course we started, grand jetes today and the first pass, I almost fell over when my legs seem to give out and the second time after I landed I twisted my ankle. I guess I will be working on those ;)

I felt very awkward today, so after class, I asked Charlotte if there was anything I could be doing at home. She said that I really needed to do was come to class. Apparently I've got a great body and strong, great legs and "everything is there"; I just have to keep practicing. Music to my ears!! I'm starting to feel like a dancer!

Well, I learned a valuable lesson today: I know nothing about trends today. Shopping for Ellen's birthday present at Limited, Too led me to this conclusion. While doing said shopping for the 12-year-old's gift, I found cheerleading uniforms (or at least mock ups of the sweaters and tiny skirts), everything with the brand name on it, including the year, so when you wear it in 2003, everyone knows it's old and dresses that I would love to wear, but I would never let my elementary school cousin wear. Suffice to say, I've got some more shopping to do. I'm thinkin' Tilly's for some Roxy stuff.

Oh, and another random observation: While Californians (esp. Angelenos) can't drive fast enough, they sure don't walk with any speed and you just can't get passed 'em!!

Like the rest of the country, I have been inundated with media surrounding Sept.11th. And I don't really know if there's any more that I can say that hasn't already been said. That being said, I will just provide links to tributes and information regarding the attack on the Pentagon, which is the one closest to my heart.
