June 12, 2002 So, today I had two finals and when I went to register for my summer math class, they were all full and I had to be on the waiting list, but hopefully I'll get in. I've got another final tomorrow and a final on Thursday. I walk to the car with KB, explaining how I've given up on having an internship, but hopefully I can take another class or two and get ahead on my degree. We start driving to his house to see if American Airlines has dropped off his bags that didn't arrive on the flight with him last night (another very long story). My cell phone rings and it's Kathleen. Kathleen interviewed me for an internship at a tiny commercial production company about three weeks ago. I called later that week to keep in touch and she wanted me to meet with one of the owners and says she call back after the holiday weekend. Another week goes by and she calls me on Thursday afternoon wanting to meet on Friday morning. I leave her a message that I have to work on Friday, but if it's early enough I can swing by quickly before work. I never hear anything back from her, until today. Long story short, she offers me the internship and I start on June 24th at 10:30am after my math class! I thought for sure that I wasn't going to intern anywhere this summer, then God throws me a bone ;) This is the internship that I really wanted and I'm so happy! I just can't believe it. It complicates things a little and I have to do some finagling (I SO know that's spelled wrong) to make sure I can get credit for this, etc. But Praise God for this little miracle!
