Random updates...

*I have a job now working at an upscale holistic medical clinic in Beverly Hills, assisting the office manager. We see a lot of celebs...the names that have passed through my desk in the past two days...wowie!

*Although I'm scared to fly, I'm still going to KC with KB for PAB next month and I'm also going to meet his fam (gulp) and friends (yay!)

*I took my first quiz of the semester and I got a B!! Yay me!!

Okay, I'm done now

When a lifetime lasts too short and a second lasts too long, close your eyes, open your heart, and carry on.

From Sophie:
The opinions in the Sydney Morning Herald letters page today run to both extremes - from "They deserve it" (they didn't) to "Let's blow up the entire middle east" (we shouldn't). In spite of the crackpot ideas and knee-jerk reactions of these people there were many letters from Sydneysiders expressing grief, compassion and outrage for humanity. This one letter in particular caught my eye:

To echo the words of the late John Kennedy in Berlin 40 years ago, today we are all New Yorkers.

My favorite movie quote: Leon, somewhere in Libya right now, a janitor's working the night shift at Libyan Intelligence headquarters. He's going about doing his job... because he has no idea, in about an hour he's going to die in a massive explosion. He's just going about his job, because he has no idea that about an hour ago I gave an order to have him killed. You've just seen me do the least presidential thing I do. ~President Andrew Sheppard (Michael Douglas), "The American President"

Sal's interpretation: Somewhere in the South Tower of the WTC normal people are just going about doing their jobs.....with no idea that a terrorist has just ordered them all killed.

"What I know for sure is that every day the sun will rise again. It will rise tomorrow and the next day, the next week and the week after. No matter what is happening in my life, your life, our world, that sun is going to keep rising, and I trust in the power that allows that to occur. I call it sunrise faith."

I survived my first earthquake yesterday...a 4.2! I'm officially inducted into Cali culture now ;)

Well, my neighbor woke me up with her loud country music (is that even allowed in California?!) and now she's screaming at someone on the phone! Lucky me!

Man, FedEx sucks! I'm so pissed at them! They make mistakes and then they act like it's my fault! Forget that shit! And my credit card company sucks! Man, I thought it was going to be a good day, but apparently not ;)

I did get a TV cabinet and I found a mailbox (right across the street...who'd have thought to look there? ), so I can mail all my correspondence.
