May 15, 2008 proud day! Not since February 13, 2004 have I been so proud of a piece of the California government: State Supreme Court says same-sex couples have right to marry: In a 4-3 decision, the justices said the state's ban on same-sex marriage violates the "fundamental constitutional right to form a family relationship." It's a good day to be a Californian. I only hope the voters will uphold the decision in November. And I hope that as goes California, so goes the nation. Jenn posted at 1:37 PM |
