Eugenia and I had a wonderful, if abbreviated, time in NYC. We shopped, we ate, we walked (A LOT) and generally just had a great time. As cliche as it is, I love the energy when I walking around the City. I also WALK a lot more than I would in any other setting. Like I told Eugenia today as we walked from Greenwich Village to Penn Station, in any other city, if you told me I'd need to walk 30-40 blocks to get where I was going, I'd tell you to fuck off and get in my car. But we took 30 minutes and walked up there, saving cab fare and getting a great cardio workout. I think I'm beginning to understand why all the women in New York look like supermodels. We ate REALLY well while we were there. Coffee and hot chocolate at Bonsignour Café. Pizza at Joe's Pizza. Yummy-ness at Tasti D-lite. A fabulous Italian dinner at Cucina Stagionale (the best chicken parm I've ever had!). Brunch at CamaJe. Awesome cupcakes and brownies at How Sweet It Is (best espresso brownies!). And we totally could have eaten more. I just love the food there :) Jenn posted at 11:59 PM | |
